About Us

SquareSharp is a startup founded by 3 colleagues/bros/dads who decided to make mobile apps and services to make the kinds of everyday things that we do easier.  The idea for our first app (Sight Words K - 5) came about when we found ourselves cutting out "flash cards" sent home with our kids from kindergarten to practice learning their "sight words".  We thought that an app that replaced these flash cards made a lot more sense.  That's our first idea, plenty more where that came from...

The name SquareSharp...

Dave & Matt are big fans of bay area rapper Mac Dre (R.I.P.) and the genius lines that he could come up with.  Our name is inspired from one of our favorite lines...

The SquareSharp crew..

Dave, Eric & Matt met and became good friends when working at Microsoft in Fargo, North Dakota.  We co-founded SquareSharp in late 2014.  Together we have over 40 years of software engineering experience.  Sticking with the spirit of the origin of the SquareSharp name, we have self-applied titles born from Mac Dre lyrics.
